Shor II is once again a visceral celebration of identity. The materials speak loudly, but the attitude screams louder.
The collection began with an exploration of suspenders and evolved through the world of burlesque, Elton John, sex appeal, and androgyny. At its core, SHOR is an exploration of beauty in an "ugly" world; an attempt to understand why something as simple as a bright red string, lying against the littered streets of India, awaken the subconscious.
Intentionally frayed and shredded fabrics collide with clean construction and ornate textiles. Jewelry becomes an extension of the body, while the boundaries between masculinity and femininity begin to dissolve. These tensions between distress and sophistication, versions of self and masculinity and femininity form the language of SHOR. SHOR II pushes that language further, exploring sex appeal as somewhere in the space between masculinity or femininity
